LIFE/CYCLE is a surrealist vision brought vividly to life.

The final installment of The Black Bag Trilogy, LIFE/CYCLE draws inspiration from Marjorie Bligh, Tasmania’s legendary housewife and recycling pioneer. You’ll be deeply moved by this powerful meditation on the fragility of contemporary life and the enduring human quest for security and purpose.

Acclaimed Tasmanian artist Jane Longhurst, in her directorial debut, brings this original theatre production to life with a stellar team of creatives and performers from Lutruwita/Tasmania and abroad, including members of Mature Artists Dance Experience. Set in the atmospheric depths of The Old Mercury Building, LIFE/CYCLE invites you on an unforgettable ride, immersing you in a transformative experience that will linger with you long after the final bow.
