This AusArt Day, your support can help Tasmanian artists take the next step in their creative journey. With your help, every festival becomes a launchpad for new Tasmanian work, many of which go on to reach audiences far beyond our shores.

One such artist is Aldous Kelly. Aldous’s bold, imaginative designs shaped the look and feel of our 2025 Festival, capturing the unique spirit of Lutruwita/Tasmania in ways that surprised and delighted us all. But Aldous’s story is just beginning. For the next Festival, Aldous is dreaming bigger. He is pushing boundaries and working towards a large-scale interactive artwork that could tour across Australia and beyond.

When you give, you are helping to nurture the next generation of Tasmanian talent, giving them the confidence and resources to create new work and share it with the world. Your gift means more Tasmanian stories on more stages, more opportunities for artists to grow, and more moments of wonder and connection for audiences everywhere.

What is AusArt Day

AusArt Day is a new nationwide fundraising day for the arts, initiated by Creative Australia. On Thursday 23 October 2025, artists and arts organisations across Australia will run campaigns on the same day to raise money for current work and future projects.

For one day, arts giving takes centre stage. People can back the artists and organisations they care about, helping ideas move from studio to stage and into communities.

Who is Ten Days on the Island

Ten Days on the Island is Lutruwita/Tasmania’s original statewide arts festival, celebrating creativity, culture, and community across the island. Every two years, we transform towns and cities with bold performances, exhibitions, and experiences that connect people and place. Our Festival is a platform for Tasmanian artists to develop and share new work, alongside national and international peers. We invite audiences to discover the stories, landscapes, and creative spirit that make Tasmania unique. Ten Days on the Island offers a festival adventure like no other, one that welcomes everyone to be part of something remarkable.
