The Allport Library and Museum of Fine Arts is a living collection of nationally significant Tasmanian colonial paintings, photographs, rare books, manuscripts, English and European decorative arts and furniture.
The Allport Museum is located on the ground floor of the State Library and Archives of Tasmania building, in the far-right hand corner of the building as you enter. It is just a 5 minute walk from the city centre.

This venue is wheelchair accessible, offering level access to all public areas of the State Library and Archives of Tasmania building. Please be aware that the museum includes inclines and carpeted flooring.

One accessible parking space is located in the carpark beneath the Allport Library, accessible via Bathurst Street.
